As national charity, we have built up over 40 years an unparalleled range of information on daily living equipment and other useful advice for people who might need some help in living their live to the full. With a huge range of equipment available, sometimes it can be confusing.
  • How do you know what is available?
  • Where do you go to buy equipment?
  • How do you know what is right for you?
  • How do you know if a supplier is reputable?
DLF provides all the answers to these questions.
You will be amazed at the sheer inventiveness of some of these tools for living. Many people don’t know that these items even exist, never mind where to get them or how much they might cost. So, they cope as best they can. Or they don’t. They go into care – when, with the right advice and gadgets, they could have a stated home happily and safely.

That’s why DLF is so important, our advice and information reaches everyone and provides individuals with options rather than just opinions. Whether you’re finding certain tasks a bit more difficult as you get older or you have a disability yourself, or a bit more difficult as you get older or you have a disability yourself, or you know or care for someone in this situation, DLF can help. More is possible than they – or you – might think.
DLF is a founder member of the Information Standard, a certification scheme for health and social care information.
