Our aim for the day:
As experts of their own child/young person, we are hoping this day will empower parents and carers to feel able to support their children/young people, with additional needs, with their mental health challenges. To know that they are not alone and to provide an opportunity to share ideas and support each other. (Click on the flyer opposite to download.) |
There are three sessions available:
This session will be delivered by Emma Lillis, SEND Specialist Teacher & Advisor
This session will be delivered by Hollie Danby Bexley Educational Psychologist
This session will be delivered by Jenny Eldred, Team Manager, Bexley CAMHS
We hope that if you attend all three sessions, you will:
A mental health market place will be available for information and advice and will include:
- Session 1 - 10am-12noon
This session will be delivered by Emma Lillis, SEND Specialist Teacher & Advisor
- Session 2 - 12:30pm-1:15pm
This session will be delivered by Hollie Danby Bexley Educational Psychologist
- Session 3 - 1:30pm-2:30pm
This session will be delivered by Jenny Eldred, Team Manager, Bexley CAMHS
We hope that if you attend all three sessions, you will:
- Better understand anxiety and behaviour that challenges in our children/young people with additional needs and have some practical strategies to support them.
- Understand the advice and guidance to Bexley Schools on Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA) and how your school can support you.
- Understand how to keep calm and regulate yourself in order to support your child/young person with their anxiety and behaviours that challenge.
A mental health market place will be available for information and advice and will include:
- Social Prescribing Service
- Kooth
- Bexley CAMHS - Mental Health Support Teams in School with Dr Nidhi Dholakia-Wellens, Principle Clinical Psychologist & Clinical Lead for MHST & Jenny Eldred, Team Manager Bexley CAMHS. (Until 1:30pm)

- The Bexley Local Offer
- Bexley Early Intervention Team (9:30am-12:30pm only)
- Emma Lillis, Specialist SEND Teacher & Advisor (from 12noon onwards)

- If FULLY BOOKED appears next to your required session, the places have already been taken. Your name will be held on a waiting list and you will be contacted if a place becomes available.
