Session 1 & 3 - Understanding The Range Of Mental Health Support For Your Child In Bexley:
What Mental Health Support is available for your child if you live in Bexley and how can you access it.
For this session we will be joined by:
Session 2 - How About You? Looking After Your Own Mental Health
Your own mental health is so important. What Mental Health support can you access as a parent/carer, dealing with the challenges of raising a child with additional needs?
For this session we will be joined by:
Session 3 (Repeat of session 1 - see above.)
Session 4 - Practical Support & Strategies to Support your Child's Mental Health
One of the concerns parents often voice, when supporting their youngster with their mental health, is a fear of doing or saying the wrong thing.
This session will look at early signs/symptoms that may enable early intervention; approaches to take; language to use. Topics covered will include Anxiety/Self-harm/School Avoidance/OCD/Depression etc.
For this session we will be joined by:
- The mental health services available in Bexley for children and young people and how to access them.
- How to look after your own mental health whilst supporting your children.
- Practical support and strategies to help support your child's mental health.
