SPEECH & LANGUAGE
Speech and language needs and disabilities - BBC Tiny Happy People
There are many common disabilities that can lead to speech and language difficulties. These resources are designed to help families of children with special educational needs or disabilities (SEND).
At Speech and Language UK, they want every child to face the future with confidence. For at least 1.7 million children in the UK, learning to talk and understand words feels like an impossible hurdle. So they give children and young people the skills they need so they aren't left behind, waiting to be understood.
Afasic supports and provides information for families with children and young adults who have Speech Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) with a focus on Developmental Language Disorder (DLD).
The Bexley Children & Young People’s Speech and Language Therapy Service supports and cares for children under the age of 19 who have difficulties communicating or eating, drinking and swallowing.
